We have been twinned with Marans for 10 years, though the links between the two communities are much older. Our main aim is to develop friendship and understanding between the two communities.
These include: Wine tasting, French Evenings, French language classes, Barn dances, Quiz nights, Millionaires Evenings, Weekends away, Theatre visits, Gastronomic Evenings.
Anyone who lives in the catchment area of Humphrey Perkins High School is welcome to join us. We are actively trying to increase our membership.
We try to have a visit to Marans or from Marans each year. There are social occasions etc. with a French theme throughout the year.

Quorn Folk Dance Club welcomes new members.
We meet every Wednesday evening at Quorn Village Hall and we use Humphrey Perkins High School & Community Centre for our major dances (3 - 4 times a year).
At our weekly sessions all dances are talked and walked through for the benefit of everyone. Although most dances are partnered, you do not have to attend with a partner, indeed many dances 'progress' so you will meet other people during the course of the dance.
